About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Working together trying to nail down the elusive financial security so we can have a ball and travel heaps when we retire

ABOUT ME

An Aussie and a Kiwi who have a 'grown and gone' family (though you never know who might have returned home), we live in a big old house on a 'lifestyle' 2 acre block out in the country.

PHILOSOPHY

DON'T PANIC!!!!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I was a young (and free)Aussie, I hitch-hiked around New Zealand and on a number of occaisions accepted an offered bed or couch, or a pretty spot by a river to set up the tent. I am still grateful to those lovely, generous Kiwis - they added warm and special experiences to my trip, and gave me real insights into the country that ended up being my home.

Interests

We like to think that between us, with many interests, we can hold an intelligent conversation on most topics. We live simply We enjoy the beautiful as well as the bizarre and off-beat.

Music, Movies, and Books

Our home is full of books from the Plumber's Handbook to Eastern Philosophy to Garfield and Andy Capp - current favourite authors would have to be Dan Brown and Bryce Courtney. As to music - bring it on - anything!! though I have to admit that I have never quite got a handle on modern jazz - Dixieland to bagpipes to Wagner - OK!!
