ABOUT ME

I'm 22 and i've been bit by the travel bug for over 5 years. This spring I'm packing my bag and traveling around Australia, Oceania, and parts of Asia for about 3 months before I start grad school. I'm excited to travel slower than I have previously, meet friendly faces, and eat delicious food.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm currently backpacking so I'm not in a position to host. I look forward to one day opening my home to travellers as others have for me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My only couchsurfing experience to date was three years ago in Lebanon. I travelled there to correct the misconceptions I had of the region, and my host and his friends completely changed my perspective of this region that we see everyday in the media. I believe this is why couchsurfing is so great, you see a dimension of a place that isn't on the tourist trail and gain a deeper understanding of the people and the culture.

Interests

My interests include spending time at the beach, trying new foods and restaurants, and talking politics over a glass of red wine.

I listen to a variety of music, but Stevie Nicks touches the soul.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've snowmobiled in Yellowstone, skinny dipped in Crete, and ate McDonald's on a hotel room floor in Dublin. Each was pretty uniquely amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach a bit of English and French. I can also talk American and European politics for hours. I can make a delicious pasta salad as long as I don't burn the water...
