I'd like to combine my career to my ideology, which means living a life of travelling and bringing happiness to other people.

ABOUT ME

Ok, my name's Romain and I've always lived in France. I haven't got the opportunity of travelling much so far, in fact I did, but not so far away (just across western Europe).
But I did choose to make such studies in order to get these opportunities. All I need is just some more time...
Concerning these studies, I know that geology seems repelling to most of the people. Well, who can be interested in a sample of rock ? Certainly weird people, huh ?
Sometimes maybe. But don't worry, most of us are really open-minded, do live in the 21st century and have a lot of projects to realize. And I think about 80 % of the students of my year chose this school because they wanted to combine a scientific career with the discover of Earth and of the others. But I warn you, we can get crazy if we find a piece of amonite during a simple walk outside... That's all. Otherwise, we don't bite.

Well, more about me now : I live with 2 other flatmates in the center of Nancy. It's very very fun.
I love community life and I think I can adapt myself naturally to every kind of people. I'm tolerant but I also know when it's time to say that someone "walks the line".

I'm with my girlfriend since 2008, we have shared plenty of good experiments but now we live quite far from each other, as we selected different studies (and in France such engineering schools are often unique : you choose the school, not the city...). But fortunately she comes in Nancy in september for training course.

During the summer I'm an animator in linguistic camps. Flemish teenagers come in the Wallon area of Belgium or in France in order to learn French. It's a volunteer work with small indemnity but it's very very fun. It's almost like holidays -even if it's really, really exhausting- and you have to do very crazy things (last summer I became a cheerleader, a bear and an old crazy scientist on the same day).

I like a lot of things so I'll just write the main :

I'm fan of the Irish band the Cranberries. I carry them throughout my life for 7 years now.

Concerning books, I adore Boris Vian's novels. "L'Ecume des Jours" is exactly the type of humour I like.
I also like Philip Pullman's trilogy, "His Dark Materials", which I read when I was younger but makes a lot of sense to me.
