About Me

I'm a curious and disorganised traveler who prefers backpacking and sleeping on the beach to four star hotels, though I appreciate the occasional luxury. I am a strong independent woman who loves culture, the arts and the outdoors. I enjoy talking to new people and exchanging views on the world and society, gender issues being one of my favorite topics. I'm also a big appreciator of silent observation (of humans, animals and nature).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been off and on the platform because I haven't always had the space to host. I'm a strong believer in the connections one can make through Couchsurfing as fleeting as they might be.

Interests

I'm a good reader and my addictive personality expresses itself best through Netflix and binge listening to podcasts such as RadioLab, The Guilty Feminist, Politically Reactive, Embedded, Tranfert etc.
I also play with words and participate to a spoken word stage once a month.
I like to escape the noise of the city once in a while and enjoy long walks in nature.
I'm a wild admirer of languages and are known to have had instant crushes on people who speak multiple languages.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Isn't every adventure extraordinary?!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to bake awesome Italian pizza and focaccia. I can pass on my tips and tricks for fresh pasta too.
I'm happy to help improve your English/French/Italian.
I can share the tons of scribbled papers I carry around with me with half stories and poems.
I love to share my favorite podcasts of the moment as well as my favorite places for culture in Brussels.
I'm happy to learn more about technology, science, economics (absolute ignorance) and politics (not sure where I stand on this).
Any good dish recipe is a treasure I will cherish and protect as my own.
More ideas for books, podcasts, films, travels you loved are always a welcome add to my bucket list.
Teach me Spanish? Or any other language!
