American musician living in Germany, father of one. Lived in New York City for ten years, participated in the jazz scene, and then started travelling in a rock band, which eventually led to settling down in Hannover. I don't really party; as a traveller, I'm mostly interested in walking around the neighborhoods and stopping for coffee, then having a quiet evening.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rode in the back of a pickup truck with 20 other people and cargo and drunk soldiers across one of the worst highways in the world (Cambodia). Met one of my musical heroes, the kora player Toumani Diabate, backstage at a festival I was playing in London. Learned to play some Debussy preludes on the piano.
