About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travel as much as possible while teaching students my passion for knowing about the world
.
I'll be on summer vacation until August 8th, 2016.
ABOUT ME
I'm a couch (anti-)intellectual that loves good conversation...usually while having a good beer. I love to go to another place and get lost, stay away from the tourists, and find that great place you can only find by wandering.
PHILOSOPHY
I aspire to be a professor one day, but right now the ride is pretty good.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I live in Guangzhou, China with my girlfriend and are welcoming couchsurfers wanting to explore the mainland.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am a couchsurfing novice, but think this is a great way to meet cool people, save a buck, and travel. I have done hostels in the past, but love meeting the people who live in the places I want to travel.
Interests
Books- I read almost anything and everything
Conversation- I love engaging in conversation with people from different ways of life and with different perspectives
Beer- Never one to turn down a beer if it involves good friends
Movies- I love a well thought out and well made movie, but sometimes the mindless flick is fun
Traveling (down here because I don't do it as much as I would like)- I love to go places to get the feel of the people and their culture, not take mine to theirs

Running a half-marathon through the streets of North Korea!
Teach, Learn, Share
I teach world history and economics at a college level so I know a decent amount about those subjects and would be willing to teach or share my knowledge with anyone interested. I've also studied person and political philosophy and love a good conversation about either of those things.
