COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had one night of couchsurfing experience in Washington DC, and just now hosted someone on Brussels, as I started living there recently

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Lot's of everything..

But i'm a sucker for great vocals (à la Disney :-) ), and love a great musical.

Piano is my favourite instrument, although I don't play it (just a bit of saxophone, give it up too soon though)

Books: a few authors I've really enjoyed: Thea Beckman (beautiful historical novels), Malcolm Gladwell (great insights about the human psyche), Bill Bryson (amazingly witty books on the universe, the human body, the history of great inventions..), Dick Swaab (amazing book on the functioning of the human brain)

I can also enjoy the speakers at TED.com

Movies: I love movies which totally suck you into the story and keep you there for about three hours.
I loved Braveheart, The Patriot, The Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, Avatar.

I can also enjoy a movie which can alter you view on things or let's you enjoy some catharsis

I love sharing thoughts.. Politics and economics are the subjects of my everyday business, but I also enjoy talking 'bout broader topics: technology, religion,...

I hope to be able to play a positive role in countering some of the societal challenges we face.. as many other youngsters want to no doubt..

Interacting with others around the world can be extremely inspiring.. and great fun too :-)
