Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Just love exploring different countries and cultures
ABOUT ME
Just fascinated with sailboats....always have been for as long as I can remember...there's just something magical about them. Beyond that I love windsurfing, kiteboarding and just messing about in boats.
PHILOSOPHY
Enjoy every day, because there are no refunds or exchanges!
That one's mine, but I also like this one:
If you eat a live toad first thing in the morning...nothing worse will happen to you all day!!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I don't actually have a traditional home at the moment, I sold my house in TX several years ago and went back to school. I lived mostly in the camper pictured, because my education required some reasonable mobility, it has worked out well and I have actually hosted one couple in it for a night (but not connected with couchsurfing - it was through MeetUp) and that was fun.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
As above, I have hosted just one couple that I met through Meetup, so we all had a lot of fun at an Oktoberfest in Helen, GA...so I'm willing to host anyone but it depends on where I am, one of three places is typical: Atlanta, Georgia, Southwest Florida, and Eastern North Carolina.
Interests
Besides wind-powered watersports, I hike, mountain bike (but also use it as a road bike), fly small planes, love to dive when the opportunity presents itself. I'm just about up for anything that's fun and active, and I'll try almost anything.

Music, Movies, and Books
Mostly classic rock, comedies, adventure.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Learned to fly, and used it for practical transportation...everyone should try to do that.
