About Me

skinless. timeless. fearless.
take a wild guess.

i'm a freethinker casting visual spells, a nomadic body, a mind exploring deepest darkness and finding light in it, borderlands are my domain.
and i usually sound more serious than i am. and more believable than i, probably, should.

Thoreau wrote once you first have to become an artist of life and only then you can express this art in any other form. this have i been and now i'm leaving the straight career way of scandinavian studies master graduate to devote my life fully to creation. or my idea of it.

i've tried many art forms: from drawing, painting, handicrafts, historical re-enacting, medieval fencing, writing, ceramics, folk dance, guitar playing, to ritual theatre and joik. it's given me an interdisciplinary blick. even if i see painting as my main field of practice, it still takes many influences from theatre-like performance and handicrafts' approach. i believe it gives a lot of vitality to my works, always being rooted in lived reality reflections. or fooling-arounds. or coincidents. or mishaps. whichever carries life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

if i couch you or if i ask you for a surfing ride, it means you radiate something that feels kindred in a way. it doesn't have to mean similar interests, sometimes all is about an aura i sense around you. it's the coolest thing about CS - that you can share something more than space, inspire each other and learn from heart to heart. in this way it becomes more a tool to reach people than places. i find it very beautiful.

so far this approach has mostly proved just great, giving me a lot of inner sunshine and sometimes a superkick, both of which i, hopefully, returned (;

Interests

getting only stranger with time and liking it, being with&in the nature, getting lost&found in books, writing or drawing unreal stories about deeply real things. vaguely.

specifically. illustration & the visual creation, authentic art of any kind, yoga philosophy, yoga & meditation, southern style of kalaripayattu, shamanism, yoik, ritual theatre, drawing, painting, singing, classic guitar, listening to indecent amounts of music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

preparing a yoga concept that's unheard of in Europe and, well, it's gonna be a blast. just you wait these few weeks more!

did a solo exhibition.
learnt kalaripayattu in a small, been-there-for-generations studio in Kerala.

but there's more! re-found a soul in an over-one-million city, knowing almost nothing about him. which made me realize the true nature of people, and smile a lot, superbroad, fluffy-cheshire'ish.

sometime before that - i forgot what year it was (2004). my mom was a half-step away from throwing me out of the window when i kept asking her. we were living on the 4th floor back then. is it really that superobvious we all should always remember that? KNOW that. can you know time really? can you really count it.

Teach, Learn, Share

i can make fireballs.
ohyesshe'sserious, sculpture is indeed educating…

or you might prefer something less explosive. like a hatha yoga session, yoga nidra, yogic massage or simply a guided relaxation. an outdoor bootcamp together? hell, i'm in!

What I Can Share with Hosts

it's basically the same as the above. i gladly share yoga, relaxation and yogic massage experience. not to mention that i love cooking as much as i love drawing!
