Hiiii! I am Wing and recently moved to Switzerland. I enjoy travelling, having new experiences, meeting new people and learning more about other cultures. I am not someone who has a huge list with things I want to do on a trip and I try not to have a tight schedule, I just go with the flow and enjoy the little things.

I am pretty easy going and open to try new things. I would describe myself as a cheerful, patient and respectful girl. I am not so much a clubbing/party person and I don't smoke. In my free time I enjoy eating (do not mind cooking either), being in the outdoor, playing board games and rock climbing.

I don't use CS as a dating platform or just free accommodation and I expect the same from guests. So if you are sending me a couch request, let me know why you would like to be hosted by me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Sometimes I travel with friends, but most of the times I travel solo. I very much enjoy traveling solo, having the freedom to do whatever I feel like. Couch surfing makes it incredibly easy to connect with other travelers and local people who have the same passion. It is a wonderful website to meet like-minded people. I have met many interesting people through couchsurfing which I would not have met without couchsurfing so I am really happy to be part of the CS community.

Some random things I love: corn, sushi, picknick, campfire, cats and dogs (can I be a cat person as well as a dog person?), stars, sweaty but fulfilling workouts, (board) games, Mario Kart, Mario Bros, pancakes, piano music, alpaca, fluffy socks, chair massage, head massage, playing in the snow, looking back at pictures, cycling, noodles, sweet popcorn, hot baths, reading books, noodles and mayonnaise.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy watching animation movies and also some comedies and thrillers. Well basically I like most genres in general, with an exception for HORROR movies! I really enjoyed watching Amélie, About Time, The New Testament and 3 idiots.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- In February 2016 I went on a road trip in Iceland with two friends. It was VERY cold and windy but it was a super awesome experience! It was like we were on another planet. The northern lights were so beautiful.
- I was part of a rowing team that participated in a marathon of 210 km, which lasted for almost 24 hours.
- Visiting Northern Vietnam on a motorbike. The roads were uneven and there were some slightly dangerous moments on the roads, but this part of Vietnam felt so untouched and real.
- I got invited to a Vietnamese wedding by my home stay. There are so many tradition and culture variations in weddings and I just love to learn more about it and be part of the celebration of love. I am secretly hoping in making life-long friendships on CS and getting invited to foreign weddings. :-D

Sharing laughs and positivity! I love food and learning about food, so it would be great to cook and share a meal together.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My parents are from Hong Kong, so I can share some Dutch as well as Chinese culture. I can also share some travel stories. Getting free accommodation is not my main goal, I am interested to learn more about the local culture and share some stories. You don't have to 'entertain' me and I am quite independent. However, it would be great if we could have dinner or do something together, so we can get to know each other better.
