About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To learn and to teach!
ABOUT ME
I'm a graduate student working on my PhD. Currently I'm studying paleontology at the University of Oregon. I'm a 2015 Fulbright researcher to Kyrgyzstan and living with a host family, so unfortunately I am without a couch to host anyone right now! Will certainly be looking forward to hosting again next year in Eugene Oregon.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I enjoy meeting people and getting a local perspective on where I'm visiting. I am fortunate that as a geologist I get to travel quite a bit both in the US and abroad!

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to a bit of everything really and enjoy live music of all sorts. I read mostly scientific papers (because I have to) and Sci-Fi/Fantasy when i have time to read for fun. I like action movies and pretty much everything but really sappy chick flicks.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm living in Kyrgyzstan for a year! I'm the first person studying mammal fossils from this country. Sorry no dinosaurs, but to me it's still pretty exciting.
Teach, Learn, Share
I teach at a university level but enjoy educational outreach about science and women's involvement in STEM. You want to know about rocks/evolution/fossils/animals? Ask and I'd love to share more than you likely really wanted to know :) I likewise love learning new things about where I travel!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook and tell you more about dead animals than you ever wanted to know...
