Hi! My name is Winnie, nice to meet you :)
I am a dutchie, living in Utrecht. I am a cheerful, enthusiastic, laid back and open-minded person. Also I am very curious which makes that I have too many interests and am always busy. I love to dance, in particular latin dances such as salsa, bachata and kizomba. I enjoy being surrounded by people and spend time with friends or new people and to enjoy some good food, drinks, music or just a good conversation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The thing that makes me most happy is to travel and see the world. Since I started traveling, the part I enjoyed most about traveling is meeting new people from all over the world. To learn about their culture and their story is one of the most enriching experience in my opinion and makes traveling worthwhile. I am always looking for new adventures and experiences. And how to do this better than to experience a place with a local.

Also after coming back home after my travels, I enjoy to maintain a bit of this "travel vibe" by meeting new people from all over the world with interesting stories. Through the couchsurfing community in my own town, I made a bunch of amazing friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Took time off work and made my dream come true by traveling through Asia and Australia for almost 4 months. In this journey I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and did things I would never think I would dare to do before, like skydiving, having a snake on my head, but also overcoming the fear of traveling by myself. I believe that the best things in life are on the other side of fear and that by pushing yourself to overcome these you will grow as a person.
