Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Portland down. Minneapolis next. On my way to grad school.
ABOUT ME
Generally I aim for adventure and brutal honesty. But if not I always love meeting new people.
PHILOSOPHY
Naturalist.
"Toilets in modern water closets rise up from the floor like white water lilies. The architect does all he can to make the body forget how paltry it is, and to make man ignore what happens to his intestinal wastes after the water from the tank flushes them down the drain. Even though the sewer pipelines reach far into our houses with their tentacles, they are carefully hidden from view, and we are happily ignorant of the invisible Venice of shit underlying our bathrooms, bedrooms, dance halls, and parliaments."

Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC: Avett Brothers, The Blow, The Mountain Goats, Black Box Recorder, Sound of Silence, Au Revoir Simone, Harry and the Potters, Phil Ochs, The Decemberists, Aphex Twins, Daft Punk, Iron&Wine, Radio Head, Akron/Family, Saxon Shore, The Shins, Sufjan Stevens, Ambient Relaxation Sounds, Neutral Milk Hotel
MOVIES: I love documentary films, artsy films, and epic fantasies. Growing up an RPG nerd, I have a soft spot for wizards, dragons, brave warriors and all the like. Naturally my nerdy tastes also extend to sci-fi films and zombie films. I'm way pumped for Half-Blood Prince, and I'm also excited for Avatar, the new James Cameron film. I really love film in general and usually enjoy watching anything that is beautifully shot or that tells an equally beautiful story.
BOOKS: The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Ficciones, The Fall, Applying Anthropology, and Harry Potter... I just picked up a biography of Nikola Tesla; let's see how it works out.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This year some friends and I have been making a film on social responsibility...which has been incredible! You would be amazed at some of our interviewees.
I also saw an old man this morning riding a moped wearing tube socks up to his knees and a green reflector vest. Classic.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I love cooking, so I could teach new recipes. Talking about capitalism, religion, the sciences are fascinations of mine. I also know some shit about computers, boring though they can be.
Learn: More than anything... Stories! Let's hear 'em! Love learning about other cultures as well. Also, the banjo.
SHARE: Stories! good food, good times, love and knowledge
