I run a safari company in Southern Africa.
During the rainy season, I travel and spend Christmases in the UK.

If I don't answer your email immediately, it's probably because I'm in the bush somewhere - off grid. My profile isn't updated often.

I'm always eager meet outgoing, social, hospitable people to stay with and hopefully share some local knowledge. If you'e interested in a safari or tailored expedition into the wilderness, drop me a line. It's what I do.

I keep a blog of personal experiences and travels, and some of my writing enables me to travel.

I am down to earth, respectful, sociably adaptable and patient. I am also passionate about foreign cultures, sustainable living, “different” lifestyles, unique property, and the environment. I hate it when people ignorantly disrespect other peoples space - especially with noise - and I get grumpy if I haven’t slept well.

I like the idea of social traveling and would like to return the couchsurf favour should you ever visit me, or I can introduce you to some of my couch-offering friends around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I normally read magazines or publications. A copy of National Geographic is normally on the go and I do like autobiographies and history (Bio's, WW2, Roman history and Ghengis Khan). I love a good movie and live music; mainly a summer festival, indie, rock, acoustic stuff, mixed in with a bit of ska, classical, electro, soul and funk, but will throw shapes to anything if I’ve had enough sambuca.. not ashamed to like 80’s rock ballads and pop. I own it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In my early 20's, I lived in a camper van for two years whilst playing professional golf.
I travelled around Australia for a year.
I lived on a Greek island for a few summers after I left school.
I have traveled around the British Isles a lot.
I used to paint in my spare time and had a small exhibition in 2012.
I now own a safari company and I'm looking to start and run new projects near my home in Malawi.
