Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Enjoy life now instead of waiting for the "perfect" moment.
ABOUT ME
I am mother of Alex who was born in August of 2009 and wife of Ben. I moved to Denver, CO, USA in 2002 and have created a pretty amazing life. A few things I am passionate about: traveling, reading, meeting new people, gardening and creating a better community.
PHILOSOPHY
I have been on a journey through personal growth for the last few years and finally understand that I do have a choice in my life. I can create what I want, live where I want and still be ok. It is amazing!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I heard about CS through a friend when my husband and I started to put out the word we were going to be traveling in 2010. CS seems to fit our goals of meeting new people while traveling and exposing our baby to different cultures. I also believe nothing happens "by accident".
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We traveled through Europe in 2010 with our then 5 month old. It was wonderful to connect with the amazing people we did, especially in Turkey. We would have never found some of the wonderful food and non-tourist spots without such great guides.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My husband and I eloped to NY and recited our vows in front of the Statue of Liberty. We packed up our house and went traveling with a baby for several months.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have owned by own small business for several years - natural bath and body and aromatherapy. I am studying herbalism and love to garden. I also am a big crafter and prefer to use natural/upcycled materials, most things are Waldorf inspired.
