About Me
CURRENT MISSION
see the world without going bankrupt!
ABOUT ME
I was born in New York City and my family moved to California when I was 5. I finished high school in Las Vegas and went to college in Santa Cruz, where I studied English Literature and French Literature.
My mom was a travel agent when I was in middle school and high school, and I was lucky to have the opportunity to do a lot of traveling when I was younger. Now that I'm on my own, I'm excited to see the rest of the world with friends and family!
I have been working at a bookstore in Santa Cruz since 2011 and I'm thrilled to be surrounded by books every day. I sell books and help with marketing and tech support. In my spare time, I enjoy video games, logic puzzles, trivia, and singing.
I live in Capitola, a small beach town east of Santa Cruz, with my boyfriend, another couple, and two cats.

I've been on both sides of the couchsurfing experience and it's been very eye-opening. I've slept on friends' floors and couches both out of necessity (when I didn't have any other place to sleep) and out of fun (as a friend who stayed over too late and fell asleep curled up on the floor). I slept on my best friend's living room floor for 3 months in winter after an unexpected breakup. I've hosted friends both long-term and short-term who are between houses, breaking up with their partners, needing to get away from their families, or just needed someone to talk to all night.
As much as I enjoy being alone sometimes, nothing beats inviting a stranger into your home and having them become your friend.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I recited the opening monologue from Henry V in an empty amphitheater in Turkey. The acoustics were absolutely incredible.

I could talk about books forever--your favorite books, or helping you to discover a new favorite. I like to cook or bake for my hosts as well.
