Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Working on a documentary project about my family's escape from communist Poland in the '80s. Recently traveled through Poland, Denmark, Norway, and Germany to find the people that made it all possible. Check it out: www.thelandless.com

Music, Movies, and Books
Mostly addicted to podcasts these days. All shows from Gimlet and Radiotopia, many WNYC shows, and a bunch of others. Current favorites include The Kitchen Sisters, Dear Sugar, On Being, The Memory Palace, Strangers, 2 Dope Queens, and many more.
I listen to all kinds of artist but seem to enjoy many female vocalists (Regina Spektor, Florence and the Machine, Bath for Lashes, Feist, Bjork, Santigold, FKA Twigs, etc). Also jazz, EDM, ambient, and much more.
Enjoyed reading Tom Robbins, Haruki Murakami, Douglas Adams, Clive Barker, Mari Naomi, George Orwell, Paulo Coehlo, and also various works of critical theory, art theory, and other non-fiction. Don't get a lot of time to sit with a books these days.
