I'm an open minded student from Amsterdam, The Netherlands in my early twenties who tries to always develop himself by experiencing new things everyday. Traveling for me is a good way to this, not only because you see new places but also because of the new people you meet. People make the place and shape the experience you have, that is why couch surfing is such an unique medium.

Although I am a reasonably ambitious student, I value my free time a lot. In Amsterdam I am very involved with the clubbing scene; I and a lot of my friends DJ a fair bit, we put up nights and events and I know most of the clubs very well. We enjoy quality electronic music ranging from Detroit techno to Chicago house to good disco and the incidental afrobeat record. Kicking back, having a few beers would be a sick night for me too tho, and often I find myself just reading a book with a cup of tea. In my natural habitat I am a proper city kid but when traveling I like to go hiking, camping and road tripping.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Last couple months I spent in Melbourne, Australia as an exchange student and I have been hanging out loads with couchsurfers that came around my mate's house regularly. I love showing people around in places and love the hearing other people's stories about other places, get's me inspired on where to go next! Right now mainly looking for people to show me around in the Southern Hemisphere but definitely willing to to do the same in Amsterdam!

Interests

Very interested in music, i.e. electronic music. I produce, compose and play different kinds of electronic music. As a DJ a mainly play techno, proper house and acid. I love to go clubbing and I know the Amsterdam scene very well, legal and illegal. I also enjoy good conversations, good reads, cooking, beers, hiking and camping.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 18 I spent three days on my own in a hammock traveling down the Amazone in a cargo ship from Colombia to Brazil!
