About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Go make a life, not a living.
ABOUT ME
I like to think I'm a friendly person, with varying interests which make it easy to connect with many people! Happy to tell people about the places I've lived (including the exotic Midwestern United States and chocolatey Belgium). I love to talk but equally love sitting in silence and contemplating life. I'm a little bit goofy sometimes, but it's balanced out by my extreme sense of responsibility and work ethic.
Disclaimer: If I call you weird or goofy, I mean that as a great compliment ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love attending Couchsurfing events and meeting new people. I'm looking forward to hosting people in the future (when I live someplace interesting)!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first experience was at a bar in Buenos Aires. I had my first actual surfing experiences during my trip to Europe, January 2013 and then many more. Looking forward to more Couchsurfing and hosting in years to come when I have a good couch :)

Music, Movies, and Books
As far as music goes I prefer not to discriminate and label, and I tend to not trust anyone who says "I only listen to [insert 1 genre] music!" I am a person of many moods, and there is a song or album for every moment :)
That being said here are my current favorite artists: Taylor Swift, Bo Burnham, The Oh Hellos, Sangre de Muerdago, Sara Bareilles, Mika, Porcupine Tree, Jojo, Usher, Puscifer, Bright Eyes, Kacey Musgraves, Aesop Rock, Murder by Death, Tool, A Perfect Circle, Harry Styles, Minus the Bear, soundtracks to various musicals.
Movies: Anything by John Hughes, Richard Linklater, Taika Waititi, David Lynch
I have watched a LOT of great TV series in my time so if you need recommendations, I'm your girl!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Biking along the beach in Montevideo, Uruguay. Dancing in the nightclubs of Buenos Aires. Tasting the Salt Flats in Jujuy, Argentina. Hiking the rainforests of Monteverde, Costa Rica. Horsebackriding in the beautiful Alaskan wilderness. Hiking up to the Acropolis on a hot Greek summer day. Kayaking in the Adriatic Sea. See the entire Milky Way from the Azores islands at night.
(How could I possibly choose just one thing?! I have been very fortunate.)
Teach, Learn, Share
As a native English speaker and former ESL teacher I am more than happy to help (They say my Midwestern accent is easy to understand!) I also know enough Spanish, Dutch, and Portuguese to teach a beginner. I really enjoy participating in language exchanges because I believe it's the best way to learn - and also meet nice people!
I can also teach you how to solve a Rubik's cube or help you create a 5⭐ Tinder profile 👌👌👌
What I Can Share with Hosts
Many laughs, stories, and (if we can find the ingredients!) classic American chocolate chip cookies!
