ABOUT ME

We are a British couple (Elizabeth 25, Tom 28) now over 12 months into our trip of a lifetime, unfortunately now on the home-straight...

Having heard so much good stuff about CS we thought it was about time we gave it a go while we were in China. We're looking forward to swapping traveling tales with other like-minded CS-ers now we're in India.

PHILOSOPHY

Using our 15 months away from the London rat-race to take a long, hard look at our lives and come up with a plan for the future! Before the trip Elizabeth worked in PR, while Tom was an investment banker - who knows what the future holds...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Reasonably new to the CS-ing experience - currently traveling so looking to surf only at the moment. 2011 we will host in London!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've now surfed in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing and love it! What a great way to chat openly with other people and learn more about the place from a local.
We've met various people on our travels who have raved about it so we're looking to surf on/off for next few months then host back in London.

Interests

We both like the sun and snow, food and wine, generally experiencing new things as we go.

Music, Movies, and Books

Currently hauling around a mini library in our backpacks which we're slowly making progress on. Typically all kinds of music and film.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Still a definite highlight of our trip - in the 2nd month we conquered Ecuador's snow-capped volcano Cotopaxi, after 7 hours of climbing with crampons and ice axes we summited at sunrise. Definitely one of the most challenging and breathtaking experiences for both of us.
