I recently finished my studies. Right now I startet working for the German trade union for education and science workers (GEW), where I'm already volunteering for some years. I love to travel although I often don't find the time...or maybe I make the wrong priorities.
I'm very interested in the way people live in the countries that I visit. Although I often travel from city to city, I love to enjoy the nature by hiking, bicycling, climbing and canoeing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A friend of mine showed me CS on our trip to India. Since then I used it in Turkey, Bulgaria and Romania. I like to meet and stay with people sharing different cultures, because for me that's the way you get to know a country.

Unfortunately on my last trips we used the CS account of my travel mate. That's why I don't have so much references, yet.

Interests

Besides my activities at the trade union I'm playing guitar in two bands in Dresden: Jungla Jazz (www.junglajazz.de) and Orange Utan (www.orangeutanband.de). I love these mixture of different activities although often it kills time for meeting friends and reading.

I studied teaching, but I'm a learner. (Non)sense of school education and an education system which includes, not excludes, is one of the main topics in my life. So I'd like to share the ways of living and thinking.
