By forming relationships with people and places, my mission is to become more in touch with myself.

ABOUT ME

I am a laid back, easy-going person who enjoys a good conversation about politics, social equality, and revolution, or anything less serious yet interesting! I love being ridiculous and spontaneous, and enjoying myself in whatever atmosphere. I love being physically active with running, baseball, basketball, and soccer (or european football). I love music too, whether it's listening, singing, playing the piano, drums, or guitar. También, me gusta practicar mi español en cualquier momento...

I love to travel and see new places, and meeting new people with unique stories, although sometimes I'm a bit shy! My life motto is to take advantage of my time here on earth, so I always try to enjoy every moment I have on this earth and appreciate all that I am privileged to have- friends, family, and an education.

I think that despite us being in the age of globalization and international interconnection, the feeling of community has diminished in many places, and many societies have devalued the importance of basic human kindness and friendship. I believe in sharing experiences and resources and building solidarity, in all meanings of the word. CouchSurfing is a way to connect people that wouldn't otherwise be connected in a peaceful and friendly way. So here I am!

PHILOSOPHY

I hope to influence our world positively, rather than reinforce some of the negative things that have left our societies unjust, unequal, and have left our environment exploited and abused. I live by my drive to be as socially, politically, culturally, and environmentally conscious and sensitive on the local/personal level, all with the goal of someday reaching global equality and justice.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I recently spent 4 months in the Dominican Republic studying and volunteering for an after-school program in a marginalized community teaching a music class and getting a music program initiated there. It was an AMAZING experience of intercultural exchange! I have countless stories about amazing things I saw/did during that time...
