About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm an ambitious, driven person with a lot going for me. I think about the big picture and I like to plan ahead. I am kind and care a lot about the environment, animals, and humans alike. I think globally and locally simultaneously. I have a huge heart and I love meeting new people. I am always down to do anything, and I will talk to anyone. I'm intelligent and courageous, and I'm afraid of almost nothing, excluding heights and ketchup (yes, I know that's weird). I have a goofy sense of humor and I like to laugh and make others laugh. i attend webster university, where i major in religion with a minor in environmental studies. i go to school full time while working 30 hours a week. i deliver mail for webster university. i'm from fort smith, arkansas but i've lived in st. louis for 3 years. i was raised christian, but i subscribe to paganism at this point in my life. i went into school studying audio but i've decided on religion because it's something that fascinates me and i want to be a professor. on the side, i plan to start a recording studio and record label. in my spare time i play in a punk band which you can listen to at www.worstcaseontario.bandcamp.com. i'm also starting a minor, independent, internet-based record label based out of my bedroom run by my friends and i. i love eastern european culture and food, and learning about it. i plan to study abroad in the netherlands this coming spring, and travel to serbia, croatia, and hopefully bosnia. during the week i work a lo so i like to hang out with a friend or two and i usually go to bed pretty early, but on the weekends i like to skateboard, hang out with friends, drink beers with some friends, or just get pizza and a movie and toke. i love seinfeld, old 90s cartoons, reading, and video games. i paint sometimes, and i like to write.

PHILOSOPHY

relax.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had none!

Interests

I just couldn't live without playing music. Guitar, bass, and drums are my forte, but I dabble in any instrument I can get my hands on. I play guitar in a punk band, and I run a small, independent record label with one of my bandmates. I love to read and write and I paint here and there when I can.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The first time I went to a punk show was the most amazing thing I'd ever seen. It was in a small venue in my hometown of Alma, Arkansas and it was the first and only venue we had. There were about ten or fifteen people in the room and there were only two acts; Boogdish, a one man electronic punk band from Texas, and Boogdish's sister, who played folk punk under the moniker of Jammypants. Boogdish played a loud, snotty (quite literally, ask me and I'll tell you the story), and obnoxious set. I loved it.

The first time I stepped into New York City was incredible. I remember just being awestruck by the amount of people, all the buildings, and cars and how much there was to see. I don't think I could ever live there, but it was amazing to see and I'd love to go there again.
