I'm a nerd, a "green" nerd to be exact. I'll be reading a comic book one moment and talking up my tankless water heater the next.

My dog, my writing, and my garden are the three things that bring me peace of mind. A good beer and some spicy food also help.

Dogs, writing, reading, beer, yoga, disc golf, food (ethnic and spicy), did I already say "beer"? music (of the small venue sort), cooking, and gardening.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was in Germany shortly after the Berlin Wall came down, so was able to walk around East Berlin. Buildings were still riddled with bullet holes from WWII, and it was scary to think of what people had to endure, yet the Germans were so full of hope, you had to cheer their optimism on.
