About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To work hard in college while still getting to travel and learn outside the classroom!
ABOUT ME
I enjoy learning. I'm a very curious person. I'll talk about almost anything. I've never met a stranger and I can't wait to meet more friends!
PHILOSOPHY
Yes. I like philosophy very much. Quite a bit actually. I enjoy talking with people about their experiences and expertise. In doing this, I have gained a little bit of knowledge about a lot of different fields, which helps me to learn more about people in my travels. So... I guess the main leg of my philosophy is that everyone has something they can teach someone else about and I want to learn at least a little bit of it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I participate in CS by hosting and I hope to be able to travel soon!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've only hosted once, but I've known about CS for quite some time. When we got to host it was one of the most exciting visits my apartment has ever had. We were able to welcome in a complete "stranger" and kick back and have fun as if he was one of our oldest friends. I can't wait to host more people and to travel and meet more awesome CS'ers!
Interests
- traveling
Music, Movies, and Books
Music - Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zep... jazz, rock (almost all types), blues, good techno, house music, trance, some pop, less rap, even less metal.
Movies - I really enjoy movies. I know that sounds like a strange description, but there's very few genres of movies that I can't find some enjoyment out of. I am very critical, even of my favorite movies, but I also see the good in them and really enjoy the entertainment.
Book - I read a lot of technical philosophy and theology for school, but I also enjoy a good narrative. I call it "Brain Candy." When I read fiction, it's usually so that I can let my brain munch a bit while I don't have to hyper-analyze and memorize lines and stuff. Right now I'm reading the complete Hitchhiker's series, which I will be done with this week, I have read all of the Narnia series, most of the Sherlock Holmes series, some historical fiction, the LotR series, The Count of Monte Cristo, The Three Musketeers, some Victorian Novels, some collections of myths and legends, etc. I enjoy reading, but I'm not as up-to-date on my reading as I should be.
