I done it all, travel 40+ countries Lived in 8th of them including Spain, Germany, Austria, Hong Kong, Taiwan , China and I was born and raised in Puerto Rico. I have a Bacherlor degree in Creative writing and modern languages, a master in teaching spanish as a second language from spain, I worked as a teacher in Asia and US, been an Aupair in Germany, gone around the world, hosted over 200 couchsurfers back when I lived in PR and organize multiple meetings from time to time in the Island (Check out my pics) I was a MS teacher for 5 years and now I am a business owner of 2 businesses. and travel more local in the US.

ABOUT ME

First of all i wanna clarified that spanish is my first language and that Im learning now to speak German. In fact my name here in couch surfing its a short of my name that it is pronounce in english as "VEN" (in german w sounds like v ;) )

Im a very nice guy. I care about nature and about the social problems of the world. Im single, I use to study bussines administration but i did a mayor crossover and now i Study at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus a bachelor in Creative writing. So yes, wanna be a writer and other than that I have no path writing on stones, but a few open options.

Im funny (or I try to be). Very simple and humble. very down to earth. I love outdours, and nature... very concern also about helping nature. There is a friend of my that always said for my living condition that I would ahve no problem with living in a jungle with "tapa rabo" (look for it it cant be translated)

I respect every point of view about anything. Im a pacifist, so I doesnt like violence and hate everything that have to do with it (that includes war!) I belive america Needs social changes, and that we are all brothers and sisters. I love to meet people, new cultures new ways of living.

I love food! from every where... i like to try new things on the kitchen.

I like to help the people that have less than me and give also help to any good cause.

PHILOSOPHY

I belive that pacifics methods are the way every diference should try to be resolve. I belive that we need to help our earth because we are killing it. and rigth now i do belive in what paul thourox said: "I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better".

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started using CS many years ago , back when I lived in PR (where I grew up) I was an avid host having over 100 people in just 3 years as well as organized multiple meetings a few times a year. After I was able to host a lot I have also done some surfing myself as well mostly in various countries around Europe. Im one of the administrators of the facebook group (ask me about it!) in my home town in PR . So I'm also really involved with the community in a local scene too, and I love it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I honestlly had the idea before that couch surfing was a nice way of not paying for a hostel and have a trip be less costy, but hosting and surfing has show me that it is waaaay much more than just that. And its amazing the bounds that I have create with some people. 1 of my host it is now a really close friend of my now. I have also been hosting alot here and there, and its a lot of fun. I have get to get really involve in the local cs comunity in my island and its just amazing. Couch surfing for me its just my extended family around the glob, the comunity in the island its my close family . :)

Interests

I love music, Art (all of them) I enjoy them very much. I love the beach, to write, to read literature, the movies, to hang out with my friends, i love the simple stuff like taking a look at the starts or hear the sound of the waves. Like to know realities diferent than mine. (such as way of living, cultures ect..).

I like to travel a lot I have been able to accomplish some of my wildest dreams over the years. As a summary the past 4 years before settling down in Dallas Texas I was an Aupair in Germany, did exchange student programs in different universities in Taiwan and Hong Kong and then stayed teaching english in China for year. I have also lived in Vienna Austria when I did a german program and Spain where I am currently doing my Summer Master.

I actively participated in the strike in my university (we slept on the entry of the college for 2 months).

Swam in Bioluminecenses lagoon in Vieques Puerto Rico.

I was a medical volunteer in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake with the Non-profit "Iniciativa Communitaria"

I visit every state in Austria and they stay in Vienna for a month and a half while taking a german intensive course using just couch surfers as accommodation (a different one every 3 days ) and using only bicycle that I fixed as transportation while studying in Wien Univertaet.

I learned 4 languages.

Travel for 3 years where I moved to 6 countries and during the time I did Aupairing Germany, English teaching in China for a year, 2 exchange programs (Hong Kong and Taiwan).

Traveling in Thailand for 2 months and attended the secret wedding of my best friend in Myanmar.

Survived full moon party in Koh pang gang and after that spent 10 days on a Buddhist silence vipassana retreat.

Worked 5 years as a language teacher in a Middle Public Inner city School in the USA . (If you are American you can thank me for my service ) .

Teach, Learn, Share

The things that I know that i would probably can teach are: English. Spanish, German and some Chinese Calligraphic, Drawing, paiting, Teakwondo (WTF Version). Puerto Rican Culture, Food. I also know the turistics places of the island.

I would like to learn Iatalina and Cheq . And the world.. i love to learn new things
