About Me

I study Philosophy and Classical Philology and work for a publishing house focusing on humanities. I usually spend my time reading, attending university classes, going out with friends and writing stuff. I like to discuss culture, literature, history, news and politics.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I mostly surf, I hosted once, too. I perceive it as a god opportunity to get to know local people, learn their views and culture, speak their language etc.

So far I have CouchSurfed in France, Germany, Lithuania, Ukraine, Romania, Greece and Jordan. I have hosted an American surfer, too. I have also been hosted in Slovenia by a family of a guy whom I met in Japan and by some students being friends of a friend.

Music, Movies, and Books

Due to the character of my work and studies I read a hell lot of the books. I have a huge reverence for the classical stuff like Homer, Plato, the Bible and so on. My favorite modern English authors are T.S. Eliot and Ezra Pound. I love Dostoyevskyi, too. And Nietzsche, and many more... I'm all about books and reading.

In terms of music, I like punk, folk, world music, classical, ancient music (e.g. Greek flute), orthodox and catholic chants, Russian & soviet choir, various things.

I rarely watch movies. I admire Werner Herzog.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Dunno, I'm doing things all the time.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to speak of my native culture and Polish history. I could teach a bit of Polish, but it's a super hard lingo, so one needs a lot of time and interest to succeed.

I like learning languages and local history & culture. Like to share time and experience, views, discussion etc.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A talk seems always the right thing to begin with.
