Overview
About Me
I love hiking, meeting people, discussing questions about the economy and how our economic activity can fit with our planetary boundaries. I am singing in a small choir and like drinking a bottle of wine together under my apple tree (well, at least as long as the apples are still small...).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like the idea of couchsurfing and love meeting new people from all over the world.
Interests
I love getting to know people from very different backgrounds; and discussing questions about the economy we currently live with, the philosophy it is based on, and how it relates to living a good life in a sustainable manner (what that means, is up to discussion as well, of course). That helps me getting my academic teaching closer to the world I am supposed to teach on ;-)
I also love gardening, since the time when I did my national service in the garden of a monastery. So, if you have some tree or hedge to cut and feel like working on that together, please let me know! Also, I like cooking. I'm a part-time vegetarian, trying to become full time for many years but it has still been too difficult for someone who spent long time in Bavaria, and who, unfortunately, loves Schweinsbraten mit Knödel. But the more I discover good and easy to prepare vegetarian dishes, the larger gets the vegetarian part of my daily dishes. And, I am interested in your interests, of course. So, I'd enjoy having a glass of wine or a cup of tea togehther and talk about them face to face!
What I Can Share with Hosts
A nice guestroom in Bremen to reciprocate; my enthusiasm about many things in life; academic support in in case you are studying or pursuing a Ph.D. in a field anyhow related to health & economics; and I am VERY good at washing the dishes...
Countries I’ve Lived In
