HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My philosophy on travel: If you haven't read the book "Oh! The Places You'll Go" by Dr. Seuss, you should. It relates on so many levels. A friend recently re-introduced it to me, and when I read it I understood a greater appreciation of being an adventurous, curious traveller.

Sleeping options include: 1 Queen Sized Bed in a private bedroom, 1 Queen Sized Bed in another private bedroom, 1 loveseat and a comfy couch in living room, 1 loveseat in my home office, or Queen sized airbed in living room. I am happy to share all, as well as floor space for blankets or your own air mattress. Please let me know which you prefer. With this arrangement, I can accommodate 7 guys simultaneously. I have two bathrooms, plenty of blankets and towels, free Wi-Fi, Netflix, Prime, Apple Tv, MAX, Disney, pretty much all the streaming services, and you are welcome to wash and dry your clothes in my washer/dryer.

I live in 4 bedroom home 2 bath home in Memphis in a suburb near wolfchase mall. I live next to a Sheriff so it is the ultimate in security. I am 15 minutes away from midtown/Overton Square, and 20-25 minutes away from downtown Memphis and Beale Street. I am at exit 15b on I-40 so very convenient for zipping around the city.

Smoking is OK outside in my private garden/patio which clothing optional. In my private garden/patio, I have a bubbling fountain, hammock for napping under the trees, and an amazing hot tub with blue tooth sound system. So if you want to relax, I have the perfect place.

I love sharing home-cooked meals with my guests, so let me know if you have any dietary restrictions or requests. I visit Gatlinburg in the Eastern part of TN where they have the only legal moonshine in the state, so I usually have a selection of flavors to try. So if you want to try some real Tennessee moonshine, let me know and you can sample everything from apple pie to blue flame :)

Typically, I work days, and am off work on nights and weekends. Also, Monday through Friday. If you have a rental car, any time for a visit would work.

I usually go to bed at midnight during the week, but sometimes later during weekends and holidays.

It's OK to make CS requests last minute OR months in advance.
