About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoying life as a wildlife biologist living in San Francisco

ABOUT ME

I have lived abroad in Bordeaux, France and Dunedin, New Zealand. Someday, I will move back to NZ but I'm happy in California for the moment. In general, I love meeting people an am the type of person that would rather sit and relax and talk to people at a bar than go to a club. I'm a huge outdoor fan, and I love a good tramp and would like to get into kayaking. Plus, I'm a huge fan of knitting, cooking, and other domestic pastimes. I currently live with my amazing boyfriend and two other roommates in a house in the Sunset District of San Francisco.

PHILOSOPHY

Good science, good beer, good friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was hosted in Pau and Toulouse (both in France) by some incredible people. I've also attended group get togethers in Dunedin that was absolutely fabulous! I've also had a few beers with some kind people in Sydney and was saved from sleeping on the street at the last minute by a good guy in Wellington. I hope to continue to surf when I travel and host occasionally now that I live in San Francisco.

I recently hosted a friend I surfed with in France. It was great to see him and know that even 4 years later, friendships can still be the same.

Interests

Wildlife conservation and research (of all kinds), ecology, all forms of music especially classic rock, jazz, Irish folk and electronic, bowling, snowboarding, marching bands, knitting, birding, backpacking, cooking, drinking in pubs, beer, beer pong, the French language, and meeting people!
