My name is Denis, I'm from Russia. I am 23 years old. I studied Applied Mathematics and Informatics in Saint Petersburg and now I am on my exchange studies at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland.
Even if I am not a great traveller, I'd love to visit foreign countries and explore them from different points of view.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have discovered Couchsurfing by the advice of my friend and I was immediately delighted about such idea - that one can stay in a city with local person who knows the city best, can give tips and even if I am travelling alone, I can meet other people in such a great way as Couchsurfing is.
And on the other hand, I can show my beautiful city of Saint Petersburg to foreigners so that they will really enjoy it - not just as a regular tourist like everyone else.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love especially rock music and I am fond of visiting concerts. My favourite films and series are those which have a cool unpredictable plot (e.g. Sherlock, Black Mirror). For books, I like classic literature (e.g. Crime and Punishment, Adventures of Tom Sawyer) and I am also fan of Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings.
