Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel more extensively as my budget will allow and to call another country my home for a year or more.
ABOUT ME
I'm a 29 year old born-again-traveller. Always trying to jam-pack opportunities: I'll be the late comer on the bus who has strolled down to the local market for fish eyes and fried crickets rather than eating at designated road stops. I have finished a uni degree in psychology and am working until I can afford to travel again. I have a soft spot for blues and big band music and cooking (though I can't guarantee the quality).
PHILOSOPHY
You are never alone when you hurl yourself at the world, there will always be a like-minded soul around to throw you a life jacket and share a beer.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Come visit Wollongong with a solid set of shoes and a pair of swimmers to experience the best of mountain vs ocean.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have been introduced to lots of amazing people through meeting for drinks and doing some phototreks, barhopping and exploration of their home cities.
Interests
I am passionate about live music and performance and love discovering the cultural opportunities of a new city such as the graffiti walls of Melbourne or the zepplin museum in Germany. I am an enthusiastic motorbike rider and was saddened to sell my bike to fund my current travels. I enjoy discussions about philosophy, sharing poetry and being introduced to new experiences such as a tear-jerking hot curry in Madras or jumping out of a perfectly good plane over the beach of my home city, Wollongong. I am a thrill seeker with a terrible sense of direction and a devilish sense of humour.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Trekking in the jungle of Lao, we got up at 4am to seek out the gibbons as they wailed their siren-call across the valleys. Exchanging basic English for lessons in Lao with the clever and engaging porters was a highlight as they continually look for different cultural infusions to expand their knowledge.
