About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To bring the world together
ABOUT ME
We both grew up on farms on the Canadian prairies, and after deciding that there was a world out there that we wanted to experience, left for larger vistas. We have lived, worked or traveled in over 50 countries.
Our home base is Winnipeg, and from there we work to make the world a better place.
PHILOSOPHY
We believe that fundamentally everyone was born good, and our task is to recover that goodness both in ourselves and in others.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In the seventies I hitchhiked and picked up hitchhikers, often staying at people's homes or inviting them to mine.
Since I joined couchsurfing, we have hosted a half dozen people - wonderful experiences, some leading to lasting friendships. I have surfed myself a few times and have been so warmed by people's hospitality.
All experiences have been positive.
Interests
Active lifestyles
We enjoy our work in mediation(my wife), and poverty reduction (myself)
- bungee jumping
