ABOUT ME

I'm quite a dynamic person. You will rarely catch me being bored or just chilling on the couch. My favorites are mostly outdoor activities: I'm crazy about mountainbiking, swimming, hiking and diving. Rock climbing, basketball and volleyball are a welcome alternative, too.

I was born in Germany, studied in France, worked in Singapore and lived in the United States. Without doubt, my biggest passion is travelling. I'm following my dream to visit every county on earth before I die. I'm currently drawing in on my 50ties. (If you want to know anything about travelling South-East-Asia, there's a good chance I can help).

A few years ago I graduated in Advertising and Communications and founded my own agency shortly after. Advertising is a real passion of mine and being my own boss is the only way to sustain my crazy lifestyle.

Beside that, I guess I'm quite a funny guy laughing a lot and I'm always out for the next adventure. I'm loving life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Over the last couple of years I've hosted people, traveled with people and surfed other people's couches. I didn't regret a single CS experience I ever had. I met the most amazing people and received an incredible amount of generosity that I will be forever grateful for.

I happen to live in parts of this world which apparently aren't very sexy for tourists so my experience as a host is less than as a surfer. If you're around my area, however, I'm more than happy to have you as a guest and show you whatever great things my surrounding has to offer.

Travelling the world, I'm thankful to everyone hosting me. I have the firm belief that generosity is a win-win attitude. You always meet twice in life - literally - so feel free to request my help on your journey as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don't even know where to start. I've had so many great CS experiences by now. Although, one thing that I particularly pride myself for, is bringing other friends into the community :-)

Interests

Some interests include blogging (in German though), reading (<3 my Kindle), and cooking. But there are definitely too many to list. I'm quite open to try new things though. How could I know what I enjoy if I never gave it a shot...!

The thing is, anything can be fun if you do it with the right people. Unfortunately it works also the other way around.

I love music and turn in to soundcloud pretty much all the time while working. Lets me discover new stuff without having to spend time searching for it actively.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. Hitchhiked 5,000 miles from Toronto to San Diego
2. Hiked the Rocky Mountains in Flip Flops
3. Wreck-dived ships from WW2 on the Philippines
4. Swum with giant sea turtles
5. Traveled 40+ countries
6. Slept naked in a hammock
7. Just wrote down point 6... WTF?

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you speak English, German and French. Also, if you're into travelling, we've got a HUGE interest in common and can share a lot of knowledge here. I can also do a few basic traditional German dishes, so if you'd like to get a grasp on the German cuisine, be my guest :-)

Oh and I recently found out that my skill to juggle things is something people find interesting as well. So I could probably teach that too, even though I'm not particularly talented.
