ABOUT ME

We are a couple of people traveling, absorbing, ingesting/digesting, conversing, sharing and wandering through this life. We both spent the last 8/10 years schooling, working, friending and living in Boston, Massachusetts and we're now staring down a little piece of the unknown with an eager eye. We're both actively involved in the music and arts communities, love to cook (and eat), work with our hands, build communities, be maker-types and walk/explore.

Eli: musician, graphic designer, bicycle enthusiast, dark chocolate lover. small towner who loves the city. tech geek who needs the trees.

Casey: maker of meals, crafter of objects, lover of vegetables. dedicated community arts organizer, map lover (official and imagined maps),intermittent writer, dirt digger.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Love the concept of being able to meet and get to know people from all over the world. Haven't gotten a chance to host yet but have gotten to meet some wonderful people in our first handful of experiences traveling. Looking forward to more!

Great design, things made by hand, powerful songs, tasty foods (with an extra penchant for dark chocolate, beets, cayenne pepper, and blueberries), warm people, good stories, anything wool. All are welcome here.

Also, our collective resume includes a (7-10 second) backing role in a movie (due out Sept. 2011) and a successful traversing of Bolivia during a transportation strike.

We can teach: Knitting, crocheting and basic sewing. Some things about loose leaf tea. How to play guitar. Cooking in the holistic, playful and intuitive way. Grant writing for the arts. Photo editing. DIY hair cutting. And one way to weave a basket!

We'd like to learn: A little about every place we go - that is...the stuff that's not in any of the guidebooks. How to work on bikes. How to spin wool into yarn. Better gardening methods. Hands on crafting (woodworking, machining, etc.). Alternative/sustainable construction (hay bale houses, etc.). Conservation methods (heat/water/etc.). How to tell stories like the best of the best.
