About Me

CURRENT MISSION

lucidity, laughter, and keeping it real.

ABOUT ME

post grad, working musician and catch-all non-profit/youth arts/cultural programming... i'm passionate about art, community, people, humanity, fostering my insomnia, and having a good time. live music is my *thing* -- so too is coffee, FOOD, and good conversation. i am an eager listener and an enthusiastic dancer. and when i travel, i am a ravenous reader.

i'm in a two-lady rap group called CanarySing based out of Seattle, which you can check out here: http://www.myspace.com/canarysing.

PHILOSOPHY

everyone has something to teach. everyone has a lot to learn.

i believe that history is the most important project. we must know our past to truly live our present.

blunts, not blow.

also: SURVIVALISM. gotta talk to me in person about that one.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i've crashed on other people's couches for gigs as well as spontaneous traveling. this summer, after already touring in Washington DC, NYC and Minneapolis (and spending a week in Jamaica), I'm embarking on a solo journey across Europe, seeing family and friends in various places, including London, Istanbul, and Berlin. i love the happy accidents that traveling brings.

once i get back to seattle, my couch is 100% crashable! more about that soon...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

only been to washington d.c. and vancouver so far on the CS connections. both have been really great experiences. now i'm on the road in europe and have already CS-ed in iceland. more places on the horizon?

Interests

good food, good people, good music, good words, good times. fried calamari, hong kong desserts, avocado.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

everyone needs to visit mexico city.

Teach, Learn, Share

use your toaster oven to bake fish. slather some miso paste, olive oil and scallions on top of a piece of cod, put it in for ten minutes, and it will be delicious. damn, that made me hungry.

also, when you make top ramen, put the finished noodles in a colander and rinse them with cold water before making the broth. half of the bad shit is in the noodle preservatives.

listen to kexp.org -- best independent music station out of seattle, washington! i would also highly recommend This American Life, both the radio show and the Showtime tv series, both hosted by the dreamy Ira Glass.
