ABOUT ME

Very definitely a Scorpio, able to push myself to try anything at least once - well almost anything. My two sons are grown up in the UK and becoming independant, so I decided to come back to Cyprus to live and work. I'm enjoying my time here and I'm focusing more on me these days by spending more and more time with friends and realising just how warm people can be if you just talk to them and show a little understanding.
So I'm learning understanding, friendship, tolerance and want to meet a variety of people to....well just talk to them.

PHILOSOPHY

Each of us is an individual, but we can only realise who we are by meeting others and sharing their experiences. They give us feedback and help us mould ourselves.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, I've been a couch surfer by association for a couple of months now - spending time with them and enjoying their company, so I've become one myself to add my experiences to the local community. Hopefully, because I'm a bit of an organiser, I'll organise a few events and inspire people to join in.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As I said, I've been a couch surfer by association for a few months. In that time I've come to realise that a lot of my friends are also CSers. I've always had a great time with them and they're a sociable bunch.

Interests

Current interest is Windsurfing down in Limassol - decided there's only so much time I can spend on the beach getting a tan - needed to enjoy the sea more. Had a couple of lessons, trying to go each weekend.
Also enjoy helping to organise events - walking in Northern Cyprus, planning the route, logistics. I also run with the NH4 group based in Nicosia, every Tuesday night, followed by a well deserved beer or two.

Music, Movies, and Books

Since I've moved to Cyprus, haven't watched any tv (except World Cup), or visited a cinema, so haven't seen any recent films. Like Sci-fi, action type films, one of my favourites is the Matrix - I want one of those leather coats.
I've got an iPod Touch and don't know how I existed before I got it. Just discovered Britney and can't get enough of her, but Beyonce is awesome.
I don't read much, but when I do, its Stephen King novels at the moment - recently finished the gunslinger series - disappointing ending.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Birth of my two sons - emotionally uplifting.
Reviewed and changed my life from time to time.
Wrote a story when I was a teenager that won first prize in a national competition in the UK.
My sons asked me where I got my tee-shirt from, as they liked it - blimey, I've developed dress sense.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm willing to share my experiences with anyone that's interested. I've been a 'Team Leader' with previous employers and know how to create followship. I'm full of stories and willing to share them with you.
