About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn and be outside

ABOUT ME

Dylan graduated from High School in Taos (which is a great little town in NM). He then moved to Germany for a year on a government exchange program. In Germany, he stayed with a wonderful host family in Riesa (near Dresden). He graduated college in december with a degree in mechanical engineering, and works for a company as a software engineer.
Angela graduated two years ago and now does billing, patient account management, and runs diabetes groups for women for a small practice of physicians. In her spare time she works with a ropes course with a juvenile detention center.

We both have a passion for the outdoors and spend a lot of time hiking, climbing, skiing, and backpacking.

While trying to figure out what to do with our lives, we try to travel as much as possible. Our next trip will be in our car (we built a bed into it).

PHILOSOPHY

1) Luck is when opportunity and preparation collide.
2) 'Instant Karma'
3) I ain't got no worries 'cause I ain't in no hurry at all.
4) Happiness belongs not to he who has what he wants, but to he who wants what he has.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Dylan's experience getting hosted (long term) in Germany made him realize how invaluable the connections between people can be. We like to meet great people, learn from them, and show them the beauty of this state.

We both feel that New Mexico can be under appreciated, and would love to show anyone how amazing of a place it can be. Afterall, it is the land of enchantment.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Monty Python, Electronic Music, Indy Rock, Some Folk Music, Books: Catcher in the Rye, I am America, and so can you (parody).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Dylan saw people surfing in a river in Munich.
We've also seen and rescued a bald eagle stuck inside a slot canyon in Canyon Lands National Park (gorgeous).

Teach, Learn, Share

We always love to learn new languages, and about new cultures. We especially love learning how to cook new food.

Angela and I can already cook quite a few tasty meals, and we would be happy to cook for anyone. Angela also mixes a mean margarita.

Other than that, we love to share our experiences with others.
