About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To help the world transition to a sustainable future

ABOUT ME

I'm a nerd, but can hide it well. I love to build stuff, get outdoors and read about things that interest me. I ride a sportbike, because there's nothing like having all that power and still getting good gas mileage. I'm from Oregon, so I guess there's a little tree hugging hippy in me. I take my backpack to the supermarket and when they ask why I don't want bags I tell them I'm saving the plastic trees, or if I'm feeling like being vague, I tell them I'm decreasing our dependance on foreign oil. I love to talk politics, although if you watch the news at all, you probably know more then me, and I'll just end up listening. One of these days I'm going to go crazy and move to some far away land where I can live sustainably and independant of the rest of the world, because our materialist, disposable, borrowing, landfill topping, society sickens me at times... Somewhat ironic considering I'm one of the biggest electronics nerds around and I know the thread count of my sheets.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I started building a treehouse with a friend when I was 12. By the time I was 17 it evolved into a 200 sq. ft. "tree mansion." I lived there for two summers and it was amazing, there's nothing like waking up in the morning to the sun on your face and the squirrels dropping acorns on you from above

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn more Spanish. I took a couple years in high school, and try to brush up on it everynow and then, but I can't really hold a conversation.

As far as what I'm good at, I can tell you just about anything about the way things work. I'm a nerd at heart, and it comes out when you ask me about science. From how a jet engine works, to alternative energy and sustainability, I can probably talk your ear off for hours if its something you're interested in.
