ABOUT ME

All my non-Dutch friends and acquittance call me Woody, for Rutger is way too hard to pronounce (To my embarrassment even I can't do so properly). You're very much encouraged to call me that as well (this is also a good way for me to check if potential surfers. If you call me Rutger I'll know you didn't actually bother to read this.)
I'm a big, open and honest (to the point it borders to stupidity (scratch that, it crosses the line into stupidity)) guy.
I haven't been active on couchsurfing for a long time now, and I've missed it a lot. I'm eager to actively start hosting again, so send me a request, and I'll see if I can host you.
24 years old, and I think I have very normal interest for a guy my age, perhaps I am a but more of a happy go lucky type of guy. I believe, and trust in my own luck.
I love meeting new people, but to be honest I'm not so great at maintaining new relations. Can't say that I'm very sad about that though, bonds are fun as long as the last. If they are broken, too bad.
I live at something that resembles a student campus.
Well that about sums it up.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm not going to allow live to slip by me anymore because I'm scarred screwing up. That's going to happen sooner or later, and it's part of life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Depends on the person that looks for help/contact. If I like/ trust you enough (Both should be easy, for I'm an easy going guy) I'll let you stay a few nights. If not then I don't. I'm glad to offer anybody a drink though.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted quite a few times, and I had mixed experiences. Some were great, some not so much. But the great ones more then make up for the dissapointing ones.
Once I hosted 4 different people at the same time, and only two of them had met each other before. They stayed 3 nights, and that became a great experience.
Once I surfed a night in Berlin, that was also great fun.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love good movies, music and books. I know people say that it's a matter of opinion if something is good or not. But I think that's not giving enough credit to real artists.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visited America and Canada for 5 weeks. That was really awesome. Met (up with) a lot of great people, and had a blast of a time.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've taught mathematics to kids, I could also teach physics, basic chemistry and other science related stuff. I love to learn, so the subject I'm learning about doesn't really matter. Though I do need to believe that my teacher knows more about the subject then me.
