CURRENT MISSION

globetrotting and new experiences

ABOUT ME

Education:

Since June 2017 I am fulfilling my childhood dream by starting to become a freelance artist. I am giving art-workshops in the evening in bars and restaurants as well as doing commission painting jobs. :)

However, I can't live on that, so I am still a full-time Secretary. 😴
But every now and then I just need to break out of the routine, following my inner nomade and doing something crazy (like quitting my current job) and of course TRAVEL!

Extreme travelling:
From April 2010 to March 2011 I was WOOFING in Japan, travelling from Hokkaido to Okinawa by bike, hitchhiking and public transportation. My journey ended under sad circumstances, when the Tsunami hit and my visa expired just one week afterwards.

From June to August 2012 I was volunteering in Ecuador (Gálapagos and Amazonas Rain Forest) as well as in Chile (Illapel in a Chinchilla National Park)
Afterwards I did from September 2012 to April 2014 some more volunteering in New Zealand, working with kiwi, takahe as well as kakapo and spent nearly 3 months as a 24hour-nanny in the outback of Australia, taking care of three wallaroo-joeys, a wombat-joey and a kookaburra-chick. :)

Travelling is always a great experience and staying abroad for a couple of years changed my view on some things completely.
I hope I am able to meet lots of foreigeners in Germany, too!

Music, Movies, and Books

Far too many!
Movies:
I like the most funny movies. Drama, action and romance also, but only if the story is good.
Movie:
The time travellers wife, Avatar, Transformers, Amelie, The Intouchables, Harry Potter, LOTR, Hunger Games, Avangers, GOTG
Series:
Sherlock, Doctor Who, Big Bang Theorie, Scrubs, Last Week Tonight, Jimmy Fellow...

Short movies or some from unknown directors are often very good, too.
I don`t like horror movies at all!

Music:
I like many kinds of music... I don`t have a favourite band (well, Linking Park, U2 and Imagine Dragons are pretty good)
I sometimes like only one song of a band. But my taste is mixed and I am open for everything.

Books:
The classics like Tom Swayer, Peter Pan, Ink heart, Harry Potter, Hunger Games, The golden compass trilogy, Ayla...
Other top favourites are also: the Alchemist, pride and prejudice, the bridges of madison country, last chance to see (Douglas Adams) and pretty much all books of Bill Bryson.

I love to read english books mostly.
But also comics when I'm feeling lazy. ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing things for me are good experiences with fellow human beeings!

Climbing Mt. Fuji at night to see the sun rising from the peak

Working and volunteering on Gálapagos for a month, where I experienced the most beautiful milky way on a star-spattered sky

Volunteering in the Amazonas rainforest where spider monkeys where climbing all over me and native New Zealand bush where I saw wild kiwi birds and even kakapo.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:
that not all German are bossy or rude

Learn:
everything that other people want to teach me!

Let`s have a good time together!
