About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to offer the opportunity to people of the World to see Amsterdam

ABOUT ME

I'm someone who loves meeting people from other countries... the best part of my trips is when I meet people from the countries I visit.
I've been living in Amsterdam for a year and a half now, and have still a lot to discover.
I was away from Couchsurfing for a while because my old flats couldn't allow this. But now I can do it again :)
I enjoy horse riding, tango, photography, and most of all travelling.
I enjoy discovering this great town, enjoying its pubs, clubs and restaurants.

The persons I would host would have my company if they want it; I can show around and show the hidden places.
I am also available for a drink;)

Contact me if you want good time in Amsterdam.

Ps: now that I have your attention here is the bad part:
- For late arrivals, as you are travelling I assume you have a bit of money. As I wake up early during the week I will ask you to take a taxi, as it takes 1 hour by train to get here.
- I am not a hotel. I expect a minimum exchange with my guests. So if you arrive very late and leave very early, I am not the right host.
- If you write me 4 months in advance, there are indeed high chances I say I am available. But I might also forget you are coming when the day comes. So don't be surprised and angry when in the end, I'm not available.
Thanks for your understanding.

PHILOSOPHY

For me, each day has to be lived as if it was the last. Each year must mean something. When I get older I want to be able to say something like "the year... was the one when I ...". I also want to considerate all people as friends, since life is too short to avoid new experiences and new contacts.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last year I left for Argentina with just a plane ticket, for a two months stay. There I had some of the best days of my life. Even if I ran out of gas in the middle of Patagonia, isolated for a long time on a beach (maybe the most beautiful I had ever seen), lost my luggage, had been robbed the passport, and encountered a puma just in front of me, it was for me the greatest experiences.

Crossing Russia by train (NOT the Transsiberian)
Seeing the Halley Comet

Trip around the World in 2011-2012

Oh yes!... I also swam with sharks, but didn't know they were here :-) (not in Argentina)

Teach, Learn, Share

First of all, let's tell the truth, the best way to visit a new town is to do it with a "native"'s point of view. It is possible to go out of the beaten paths, and to see what others wouldn't see. This would also be a perfect way to understand the culture, the way of life of foreign countries. It could also be a good way to understand mentalities. I would also be glad to do the same thing for people who would visit me.
OK, here I'm not a native, but I know my way around ;)
