ABOUT ME

I've been in a comfortable place in St. Louis for the past 9 years and I'm feeling the need to ramble a bit. There's a lovely lady I've spent the past few years enjoying being with and I'll be moving to Philadelphia to live with her soon (she moved away for school). Picking up stray dogs brought me together with Roxy, my constant companion. Glassblowing, initially just an occupation, has grown increasingly a large part of who I am over the past five years. Music, art, friends...so much to say about what makes me go.

PHILOSOPHY

Well, you gotta figure out what works for you. I'm still figuring that out, but it's like revealing a definite form that's hidden inside some nebulous form. I try to be open to change and when some part of who I think I am falls away and shows more closely who I actually am, I try to go with that. At the heart of it all though, I think I'm a golden rule man. "Do onto other as you would have them do onto you."...It's just got that timeless ring to it.

兴趣

Art (comtemporary blown glass is my specialty), architecture, music of any and all kinds (my mother is an ethnomusicologist), keeping in good health, cooking (or more importantly, eating!). I like using my hands to build things, create things of beauty or functionality...particularly of both. I have an affinity for things most people look at as broken.
