ABOUT ME

I am a positive, outgoing person, sometimes I can be shy depending on the situation. I have a B Sc. Major in Microbiology from the University of Manitoba. I'm not much of a partier, while in Europe I'd prefer to learn as much about the culture and people as I can (we're particularly focused on castles for this trip)! I'm honest and I firmly believe in showing and receiving respect. I am easy going, and I enjoy talking to people.

PHILOSOPHY

Try to be the best person you can be at all times, don't do anything to anyone that you wouldn't appreciate being done to you. Live life with energy and happiness, and spread that feeling to as many people as you can reach!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently im getting involved in surfing moreso than hosting, since my current situation doesn't allow me to host. I'm very excited to meet new people, and I feel that if you're going to learn about the culture of a place, there is no better way to do it than to experience it with the people who live it every day! When in Rome, do as the Romans do! This project is a great way to bring people together, who otherwise might never have met!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never couch surfed before, I have a couple friends who couch surfed for the first time last year, and it sounded like a lot of fun. I'm excited to get involved!

Interessi

I spend a lot of time in the gym, I love to work out. At home I enjoy things like drawing, painting, sewing, cooking, anything involving making things with my hands mostly. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, and learning whenever possible.

Musica, film e libri

I like to read books related to my field of study (funny, when I don't have to study anymore, what do I like to read??? Textbooks!)
I also like classic books like Pride and Prejudice, and Moby Dick (currently half way through)
Music, I like any music that has a happy undertone to it!! Jason Miraz, or Jack Johnson, I also like techno music like Deadmau5, Yolanda be cool (we no speak americano - awesome!), lots more!
I generally like movies involving comedy, I'm a girl so I like a good chick flick now and then! I also like action movies like the new Batmans' Iron man, The Bourne Identity, etc

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Experienced the opening cerimonies of the 2010 Winter Olympic torch run, my boyfriend was the first non-olympic athlete to run the torch that day! My life has been pretty school-oriented up until now... hoping to add some excitement!

I'm trying to learn French right now, anyone who can help me with that, I'd be very excited to talk to you! I can teach you all you ever wanted to know (or not) about bacteria that live around us :P and about finding interesting ways to have fun!
