About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live.

ABOUT ME

I am currently a third grade teacher living in Denver,Colorado. I am one of those people that goes to the beat my own drum and am full of adventure and passion. I have been told that I am a social butterfly and can pretty much strike up a conversation with anyone. I am passionate about traveling and exploration, feel the most at ease when I am with nature, and I am an avid concert goer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used couch surfing while traveling around South America from 2011-2012. I am hoping to host couch surfers when I move into a place that allows for visitors.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, so good! Great way to meet people from different cultures and places.

Interests

I am always looking for new experiences and people to enjoy them with. I love the outdoors and most activities that involve being outside..hiking, biking, snowboarding, and just relaxing in nature. I can also appreciate going to see a movie or having a philosophical good conversation with someone. Going to see live concerts is also high on my list of things to do.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books:Catfish and Mandala by Andrew Pham
The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo
Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson
Music:Phish!
Movie:Into The Wild

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on a 5 day trek to ancient ruins of the Tayrona Indians in the jungle of Columbia called La ciudad to Perdida, the remoteness and beauty of the perfectly placed temple in the middle of the lush forests, along with the history of the land, was enchanting.

Another incredible experience I had was on one of the most challenging treks I ever did, called the Cerro Huemul circuit, where I hiked on Glacier Viedma and the southern patagonia ice field. Didn't see one person the entire time and got to camp near icebergs and listen to the cracking of the ice. It was definitely a trip I will never forget.
