ABOUT ME
I was brought up in Cumbria in the Lake District where i went to school. I am now a student studying Arabic and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Leeds....my main passions in life are sport especially rugby but i also like badminton, squash, hiking and il always try something new - my latest venture has been gaelic sports. Asides from sport i love cooking, reading, traveling, meeting new people. Im always up for a good debate and discussing politics/history. Over the last few years i have done quite a lot of traveling and i think its important to make the most of the opportunities available as well as making your own.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Up until now ive only hosted as I was living in Morocco for the past year. I only joined in april but whilst in Morocco there was hardly a day when we didnt have guests or weren't getting the spare room ready for guests. Now that ive moved back to England the circumstances have changed and im in a much smaller student house which isnt very practical for couchsurfing and i dont have as much free time during the day evenings due to sports training. I hope that I can Up until now ive only hosted as I was living in Morocco for the past year. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
as ive mentioned so far ive only hosted but its been great fun - at the most we had 13 people staying in our flat from australia, poland, france, italy, czech republic, england, ireland and morocco. i always liked to cook for my guests either a big roast dinner or a chicken leek and mushroom pie. i would also take my guests on a tour of the medina and take them to local restaurants to sample the local cuisine. On Sundays there were meetings for csers to come to meet english language students at the local university and have a general discussion on a chosen topic. (can i just point out that my experiences so far are only from hosting in Morocco and that im no longer there but in leeds in the uk)
