About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate because I travel a lot and I think people are interesting. Also, I like meeting and learning other people's stories. Haven't hosted anyone yet, but I hope that changes when I settle down somewhere.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far the only time I have couchsurfed was in Chicago. It was a last minute trip and I needed a place to stay. The host was great and very experienced in couchsurfing. It was exactly like staying at your friend's place. I offered to clean and organize my living area.

Interests

I am interested in any thing, especially if it is new. I am mostly interested in fine art, architecture, food, world issues, finance, books (fiction/non-fiction), traveling, and culture. My hobbies are reading, drawing, photography, dancing, and relaxing. Current hobbies include fishing/ice fishing, cooking, partying, concerts, and mini-trips.

Music, Movies, and Books

All classical music, old school country such as Hank Williams Jr., Johnny Cash, and Waylon Jennings. Two gallants, Daft Punk, Sigur Ros, Red Hot Chili Pepper, Neutral Milk Hotel, The Postal Service, Matt and Kim, and The Decemberists.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The one amazing thing I have done is help with a school garden project in Belize. The experience taught me a lot about cultural differences in knowledge and customs. However kids are the same everywhere- curious and inquisitive. Climbing the mayan ruins also was a great experience, although it was scary at the top (I am afraid of falling).

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Belize, Chile, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
