ABOUT ME
Hey there!
My name is Lisa and I m a 25-year old from Austria, currently living in Salzburg- the city where everything has W. A. Mozarts face on it. I´m studying Music Production and am currently working as a songwriter (and a waitress, and a barkeeper, and I freelance because rent ain´t cheap) which is fun.
I consider myself fun loving, honest and adventurous. Everybody has that special something to make them feel good when times are tough and for me it´s travelling and cooking- so if you ever wanna make dinner together I´m in.
When I was 18 I started hosting because the idea of inviting people from completely different parts of the world into my home felt exiting and it lead me to a lot of positive experiences. Some couchsurfers became very good friends and we are visiting each other every once in a while now!
I took a break from hosting because I moved into a really small flat with my partner and two cats but I really want to start surfing again. So if you think we could get along I promise I´m low maintenance and always bring chocolate from Salzburg with me :)
PHILOSOPHY
There are many recipes for living a "good" life. For some this means having a secure job, family and house. For some it does not. Do not force people into your beliefs and never let people force you. Do what makes you happy without hurting others on purpose and go where people understand.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I think it´s save to say that through CS I met people from every continent- whether it be through hosting or surfing.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
It´s a great way of staying in touch with the world when you can´t leave at the moment. Some of the people I hosted turned out to become also the most inspiring people I´ve met so far. I had some very good experiences couchsurfing in north amerika, europe and asia.
Interests
I make stuff, like, all the time. Guess it´s how I sort my thoughts so I mostly travel with my ukulele (because its easy to carry), notebooks and write down recipes. Cooking is a way to treat myself and people I like, even though I´m not at that point yet where every dish turns out perfect :D
I guess I take after my grandfather who is a crazy artist and tinkers with everything, lately causing a few things to explode but he always makes it out in one piece. Inheritance is accidental so I am now stuck as the "grandchild who makes stuff" and all my cousins make money instead - I wouldn´t change a thing.
Also I love to work. I started paying for myself when I was 15 selling fish in a supermarket and no matter what I do I always have at least one dayjob because I like feeling useful and learning new stuff. So I also helped people move while couchsurfing or helped out at they´re work because I know how to get stuff done.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies/TV: Still not ready to give that hobby up I am really into comic book adaptions of any kind. Also I enjoy movies by Giuseppe Tornatore which is probably the reason why I someday wanna live in Bagheria for a few months. Science fiction, well written Fantasy and anything Joss Whedon put his hand on usually works for me. Naturally this also includes Doctor Who. Makes me feel bigger on the inside.
Music: As for most people it depends a lot on current moods and situations but artists I seem to be enjoying almost all the time include Amanda Palmer, Fiona Apple, Morrissey, Wallis Bird, Marina Diamandis, Chinawoman, Nosaj Thing, The do, Johnny Cash, Pearl Jam, Kid Cudi, Stars and yeah that is pretty much my adolescence.
Books: Books are friends so I consider Neil Gaiman, Austin Kleon, Douglas Adams and me very close. I own a decent comic book collection and more trivia knowledge dictionaries than I would like to admit.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
On a flight from curacao to miami one of the flight attendants saw that I carried an ukulele. He asked me to play a song for the team and I ended up playing a show. Several thousand meters in the air being paid with food and having men in uniform dance to my music while other flight guests took pictures and sang along.
