About Me

I'm currently running a sustainable design studio in Seoul, South Korea. Been away from this platform since Pandemic and now finally returned. Since I have sticked to this country over the last couple of years upon my graduation + and my chaotically hectic work, I somehow feel really uncultured and it doesn't feel really like me.

If you are interested in art, sustainable design and startup business, just inbox me =)

==================
Hi, there! Thanks for taking your time to check my profile ;) I am a uni student at Sheffield (UK) graduating this summer. I used to run a shop (a bar?) in Seoul selling antiques and other goods that my sister and I designed. Me and my family are also to open a restaurant and a guest room in Jeju Island.

I love to try new things. Though I haven't studied arts at all, I enjoy drawing and making things. I've lived in the UK for a year and a half and in Vienna for a year (for my exchange year). I've also been to Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Fukuoka, Budapest, Münich, Frankfurt, Dubai, Paris, Bratislava, Zagreb, Basel, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, Kildare, Cork, Dublin, Zürich, Copenhagen.....ann so on. Love travelling, meeting new people and learning other culture and language. I have learnt Spanish (Elementary - forgot everything), Japanese, German and wish to carry on learning Japanese, German and French ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting people with different backgrounds and sharing experiences and thoughts. I'd love to meet loads of local and independent artists. And that would be absolutely amazing if we could try new things, like collaborating or creating something interesting together.

I'm not so interested in tourism, but more in the streets and local areas. Local experiences are what I enjoy most. 'Living like a local' sums up my philosophy.

Interests

As an owner of a bar in Seoul, I love to see many creative places and people. I do not like something just trendy, but would like to visit independent places where are filled with things the owner likes or interested. In other words, I like places where have its own colour.

As described above, I didn't study arts, but like make things. The challenge I always come across is that I am not skilled or educated with regards to this field. Ironically this encouraged me to try things in my own way or to eager to learn in order to reach the outcome that is in my mind.

Music, Movies, and Books

Although I do not really know well about music and am often so bad at remembering who the artists were, I love listening to music. I listen to The Dø, The xx and vaporwave.

My favourite film is Perks of Being an Wallflower, Love Letter (Japanese one), Memories of Matsuko (Also Japs), Rage (Yes, it is as well), Blue Is Warmest Color, We Need to Talk About Kevin and so on. Not a big fan of Xavier Dolan though.

Whenever I'm asked what my favourite book is, I always struggle, not that I can't choose or have read so many, but because I keep forgetting or never choose one as my favourite. I will think about it more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am going run another business in the UK next year

Teach, Learn, Share

- If you have no experience in arts, I can teach you where to start.
- I can share my experiences, I guess? Probably about my working or business experiences.
- I'd also like to share what things or projects are in my mind.

- I'd love to learn your language and culture.
