Hey, I'm not really good at talking about myself so I'll keep this short since the more direct answers will be found in other questions...

I have always traveled a lot with my parents and continued to travel by myself and with my partner Thierry, so couchsurfing is an awesome way to do this. I also don't mind having people over who want to visit Ghent, since it is one of the most beautiful and interesting cities in the world to me :)

PHILOSOPHY

"Funny thing about black and white. You mix it together and you get grey. And it doesn't matter how much white you try and put back in, you're never gonna get anything but grey."

I feel like nobody ever stays perfect (white) even though society expects people to be moral too much, whereas I believe people should try and follow their instincts more, without worrying about what other people think or how they'll judge you. Also, I like tv shows and quote, obviously :P

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted quite a few people in Gent when I was a student (up until the summer of 2013) which was always fun.
I did a huge trip through the US the fall of 2013 and did a gap year in 2015-2016. During both I stayed with a lot of interesting people.
Nowadays I have mostly hosted and seen the wonderful people I met along my travels, but anyone looking for a place is obviously welcome to send a request.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had quite a few people over and so far it was always a fun and interesting experience. I like showing people around town and if I say so myself I'm getting pretty good at it :P My experiences as a guest were also amazing so far, I only met incredible people.

Interessi

I like traveling obviously, boardgames and watching tv shows... For the rest I keep myself busy by hanging out with friends. I also love to learn new things, I see myself as a lifelong student :)

Musica, film e libri

I like all music except the really loud and hardcore kind.

I like a lot of movies, specially special/cultmovies though I prefer tv series. Buffy the Vampire Slayer will always be my favourite because of the exquisite combination of amazing dialogues/humor, drama and action/story/myth. I watch a lot more though ^^ .

I haven't read that many books the last years, except for the wheel of time series which have ruined all other books for me :P and a few classics (Jane Eyre, Count of Monte Cristo, Oscar Wilde)

The world is filled with amazing places, For some reason I felt most adventurous when I discovered the Abbey caves on my own in New Zealand.

I love discussing tv shows, politics, cultural differences and languages/dialects. I also speak or at least understand quite a few languages.
